A great deal of new structural information, which can never be obtained from conventional microscopy or various scattering methods, can be evaluated directly from the 3D volume data provided by electron tomography. Thus, this technique is the tool of choice to gain new insights into the morphological organization in photo active layer of bulk heterojunction polymer solar cell.
